Just to voice my opinion, and it may be possible to get something like this
fairly cheaply at a Surplus store or something:

I have always been very pleased with my Government issue, Navy 10K rated 30'
long tow strap.  I must admit, I have likely never stressed it to quite its
maximum tested weight, and I have managed to tear it in half (by rolling up
over it when coming to a stop, and either the axle/springs would have ripped
out or the tow strap would-I was lucky...the strap did!!!).  However, even
since then, I have tied a large square knot in it and it has worked just as
well, albeit about one foot shorter!

And the best way to get one of these is the same way that I did-move onto an
old, closed down military base and find one laying on an old runway.

However, if you are not this lucky, as I said, perhaps some surplus stores
can get them-worth asking!
