Just saw a bit on powder coating on today one of the car shows on TNN. 
Eastwood has a kit with a gun and a small amount of powder for $150.  You
will also need to get an old oven at a garage sale or somewhere.  They do
not recommend using the one in your kitchen!  The parts they were doing
were baked at 425 degrees.
