RE: Re[2]: [ihc]...property rights
Why thank you Tom. Saying I'm a planner unlike most any other is something
I take as a compliment. When I was in grad school my professors would often
ask me what I was doing there. I would answer with the question, why did
Patton read Rommel's book? Sometimes I think they gave me my degree to get
rid of me.
By the way, here's some IH content. I have been researching clutches and
pressure plates to fix my slipping problem behind my 360. I found that Hays
Clutches offers a pressure plate and clutch combination (#31-212 & 40-218
respectively) that should work behind the 258s and 401s in Internationals as
well as behind my 360. This would be an 11" Borg Beck style street/strip
clutch setup with a static pressure of 2,750 pounds. This would be more
holding pressure than the stock numbers but still less than the suggested
pressure Joel Furtek found in "Performance American Style" last week.
I posted the idea with Hays Clutches and should have some feedback from them
next week. I may just order the parts from Summit Racing for kicks to see
if they work. I need something to solve my slipping problem. Why have a
big V8 if you can't use it?

My real point, and I believe I've told you this off-line before, is that you
are unlike most any planner I have ever met. Your mere mention of the
individual versus some utopian city/state collecive society alone shows me
that you just don't think like the folks that I know that populate city
halls all around here...
