RE: [ihc] RE: Father/daughter projects
And my daughter (4) was showing off for a guest (6) Monday night and
poured a couple ziplock bags full of water down a cold air return vent
in a second story room. The two little girls ran down to the bedroom
beneath it and surprisingly found water leaking out of the ceiling.
They screamed and the women who were supposed to be taking care of the
kids then screamed for me to come in the house. I thought the house was
possessed, no water lines near the leak. Of course, it stopped shortly
after I flipped the breaker on the well. Glad they owned up to it.
Very glad it wasn't me who removed the vent cover to paint and never
replaced it.
She doesn't get in trouble in the shop, well except when her and her
brother took nail polish to one of the front hubs on my 800. It sure is
a pretty hub now.

She saw me chasing after my new(and hopefully temporary) lifter tick,
and
had to try it. Not wanting her near rotating stuff, we put the probe on
the
frame where she could still hear the engine running. Satisfied her
curiousity, then she took the stetho off and said "that hurts my
ears(pressure), probably because I'm small". I assured her that the
earpieces hurt my ears too!
Last night we got on a geometry kick. Point to line all the way up
through
nonagon, with parallelograms and rectangles thrown in for good measure.
I
explained parallelism to her, and she promptly went and 'taught'
it(correctly)to Mom ;) Sharp as a tack, that kid :)
Building her A-120 T-all is gonna be a hoot...
