[ihc] B model 170 in Alabama
Funny thing is, just before I Efound the B in Wyoming,
I found a B170 close to my house in a scrapyard.
Its in sad shape, having been used hard as a
winch pole truck and there isnt a non dented
panel on what hasnt rusted away.
The cab roof is actually gone, as is the hood.
It has a 2 bbl SV in it, but its sitting in mud
so I dont want to try and ID it
with my usual "look over the RF tire under the
inner fender" SV ID method. It has a PTO and a HUGE
flatbed mounted 20K? winch.
I spoke to the scrapyard owner, and he was nice
enough to let me take the emblems and some other small
stuff off it. I got the neat instrument cluster too, its compact.
He also asked if my Travelall was for sale. :~)
Nothing else on the B bodywise is any good.
First one Ive seen around here. Too bad its
so far gone.
