You have a spacer, but the front wheels are offset, so the contact patch is
at the same place relative to the wheel bearings.  As far as the wheel
bearings are concerned, the leverage is the same as a non dually.  The
leverage goes on the mounting surface etc.

This basic design seems to continue today, although on many of them now the
"spacer" is integral to the hub.
