RE: [ihc] Gearing question
Why not 4.30s in back and 4.27 in front? Less than 1% difference. 4wd
only on _very_ slick surfaces of course.
Randy's ring and pinion site seems to be down right now, seems like you
can get 4.27s for a Dana 70.
Tom M had 4.30s made for his Dana 60, maybe he will chime in with cost
and such.

Subject: [ihc] Gearing question
Hey all! Happy spring! What is the best alternative to get more road
speed out of a 1300 4x4? It has a RA15 rear and the D70 front. Of
course, 4:88 is the highest matching combo to leave the 15 in the back.
Will a 70 axle out of some other make fit in the back or would the
housing have to be narrowed? Would that improve my options for gearing?
Rocky
