RE: [ihc] Custom toolage

Here's the *really* sick part...

I walked outside to where I'd dumped a couple sticks of 2x2. Hmmm, this
one's 55-ish" long. Perfect. Over to the scrap rack, 2 stubs of 1x1. Plug in
the MIG, buzz-buzz. Punch a 1/2" hole in the center.

One lap around the shop and 15 min. later, done. All the planning in the
world couldn't have made that come together any smoother. I was so
surprised, I just stood there looking at it thinking 'it's done?' ;)

For those like me who don't have access to metal tubing and metal shop
equipment, try this:

When I pulled my Scout II SV 727/transfer case - I made my rear engine
support out of 2 2X4s nailed together, cut to fit within and to rest on
the inner hood/fender channels.

Looped an appropriate length of chain and S hooks above the rear of each
head to bolts on the block.

Materials & tools needed:

2 2X4s
Handsaw/skil saw
Hammer
16d Nails
chain
S hooks
hacksaw.

Worked real well. And by using wood, no damage was done to the finish.
