I wouldn't doubt that it's a record sale.

This aircraft carrier is so old that it was built for WWII, before jet
aircraft. It's about 400 ft shorter than a modern day carrier, and smaller
than many destroyers currently in the fleet.

When I was in the Navy I thought it would be really cool to have my own
aircraft carrier to use as a fantasy cruise ship. Just think of how much fun
a bunch of civilians with a lot of cash could have playing war games with
the simulated programs for the radars, driving the ship around, etc. Never
mind that it uses a whole lot of fuel and the boilers are 40 years old. I
would guess it will take several million dollars more to get it seaworthy.

I wonder who has 90 million dollars or more to bid on it? Bill Gates? Al
Queda?
