what about in the fullsize trucks and TravelAlls? both of my '72 TravelAlls
have (or had) factory air conditioning, and both had the top brace from pump
to thermostat housing when they were new. my 1010 still has this brace, but
the 1110 no longer has it (the PO said he took it off with the pump, and
then told us could not find it when we picked up the truck, though he did
give us the pump itself).

is the Scout II air conditioning pump setup different from that in the
larger trucks? i thought they used the same pump and brackets, but i've
never owned a Scout II so i really have no firsthand knowledge. why would
this be standard in the trucks as early as '72 (or earlier? anybody know?)
and not in the Scouts till later?
