Shiftless Eric
The C102 is a model for a 61 or 62 model pickup or travelall, by the
way.
The 100 part is the series. The zero in the 10s digit tells that it
is a
half ton, 2wd. This was later used to identify an independent front
end
suspension, but I can't verify that this was true as far back as the
3 digit
model numbers, so it may simply mean light duty half ton. If the 10s
digit
had been a 2 (as in C122), it would be a 3/4 ton pickup or travelall,
the
three (as in 130) would be a one ton, etc.
Allan, you didn't tell him what the 3rd digit was for! :)
Eric, the '2' means you have uprated rear springs.
