The CJ windshield is even EASIER than the Wrangler. I have 2 knobs that unscrew BY HAND on both side and once uncrewed, the windshield folds down and straps to a loop bolted to the hood to secure it.

They have big knobs on the runners to the windshield (2 per side), release these, take one bolt (per side) from the windshield frame (takes a Torx bit, if you don't own a set of these, you don't work on a new (new, my '79 was full of these things) jeep). Voila! the windshield is down, like maybe 10 minutes of work, assuming you have the top down already.
