I have a 1980 diesel Scout II and I agree with Howard, it needs more power
to do much towing. The diesel has been reliable for me, but I still wish
for the power and acceleration of a V8

However, according to a book I have "Chilton's guide to Turbocharged Cars
and Trucks" only 832 Terra Turbo Diesels were made in 1980 so it is a rare
truck. Go ahead and restore it.
