Spring specs
Those wanting spring specs, go to
http://pacific.telebyte.com/allanw/binder/specs/specbook.html
and download the three pages (TIF format) from the specs
book that I have posted. These pages have the spring codes,
and, as I recall, the rates and dimensions.
Yes, I'm still running 2 wheel drive springs on my now
4 wheel drive pickup. I can't tell you about lift, my wimpy
3,000 lb original springs are sagging big time, and I never
put the shorter 4x4 springs on (the ones I have were
thrashed). I do have a pinion/driveline angle issue,
which creates a vibration when in 4x4. However, I also
got extra caster as a result. The vibration isn't too bad,
so I'm living with it right now. I do have some 1 ton
2 wheel drive springs I plan to put on, and then I
intend to try and use alignment shims to get a better
pinion angle, but still have enough caster to avoid
having the truck wander all over the road.
