I've got a few customers running drag cars with TF727s that use Case TCH in
the transmission. Our Case service rep also ran that in his cars when he
used to rebuild transmissions. Our rep and the drag racers both agree that
TCH does everything that Dexron/Mercon II can at about 20 degrees cooler.
The drag racers also claim more consistent ETs (but will you be drag
racing?!) :) Plus, most of our power shuttles (automatic trans single speed
boxes) will last for 6000+ hours with regular fluid and filter changes.
TCH can be used in place of Dexron/Mercon II & III, but don't put it in
place of Ford ATF fluid or you will be in a world of hurt. :(
Personally, I've got Dexron/Mercon II in my 727 until the next time I get
the urge to take an ATF shower, then TCH is going into my transmission.
Denni
P.S. Tom, TCH comes in 5 gal buckets for those of you propping up a fleet
of IHs. :)
