Wouldn't fiberglass be more likely to bend and then spring back into shape
after
minor close encounters (like when I leaned into that tree coming down from Holy
Cross last year. My (metal) door has a pretty good dent, but I keep thinking
that a
fiberglass door skin would have sprung back). Of course, a harder bump will
start to
break the fiberglass, but the metal would be mangled too - so you'd replace
either one.
I've been thinking about going with fiberglass (not the tub, just the skin) if
I ever
have the money (I didn't win the $80 million lotto last night, so it won't be
any
time soon).
