I run a Hayden and have for years.  I couldn't find a replacement thermal
fan (spin on kind) when mine went out years ago (pre-digest days).  It has
worked wonderfully.  Hardly ever comes on.  Keeps cool at idle and even
crawl speeds.  Holds the temp gauge at half way mark in hottest temps.  I
also run a trans cooler.

Interestingly enough,  they make bigger and better ones now.  But, these
aren't cheap.  Figure on spending $150 or so.
