392 retrofit
Motor mount question. In swapping in a 392 in a formerly 258 equipped
Scout would it make sense to use the travelall motor mount instead of
scout ii mounts? Travelalls have only one motor mount (besides bolting
to the bellhousing) in the very front of the engine. It bolts to a
crossbeam. What would be the plusses/minuses in using this instead of
the scout II mounts.
Would this keep the frame from flexing as it should?
Would this keep the frame from being stressed from the steering gear (as
you would no longer have a motor mount adjacent the steering box)?
