2 cents is twice as valuable as 1 cent
As usual, Mr. Pletcher, you have succinctly melded the philosophical,
the artistic, and the practical sides of an issue. What do I mean by
that? I mean well put! Although I chose to include only your last
paragraph, I really thought your analysis of why small truck makers
couldn't and can't compete was completely logical. How different from
the teens in this century when there were something like 300+ truck
makers competing for a market of a few tens of thousands of vehicles.
Thank you.

And about the comment that IH had the new Dodge look in the
'60s--that's
true, but that was when that look was old, not when the retro look
came
back in unfortunately. In the late 60s, few people would argue that
the
pre-69 IHs weren't ugly, even those of us that were already into IHs.
But that look is back in style so they aren't ugly anymore.
That's my $.02 on this subject.
