Michael,
   Straight 50 weight in the tranny and transfer case. I would run
20W-50 oil in my engines, but; since you are in a warmer climate a
lighter weight like 10W-40.
   I can't help you with the canister thing though.
   Also, change out the differential fluids as well, front and back.
