Back from Moab
Made it back from Moab, with only a few problems.
On Sat. watched a stock scout slide sideways in the wedge on Poison Spider.
Sunday, broke my Pass. side front axle U-joint, no loud bang. Made the rest
of the trail a little more challenging. flooded on the ledge of the launch
pad, made it up on second try. Golden Crack, its all in the right line, and
where in the crack you go across.
Monday, 3-D, with Rob D. First dirt hill was a challenge in 3 wheel drive.
Tuesday, Cliff Hanger, got to use my winch, next year will be rated from 4 to
4+
Tuesday Night went to Potato Salad Hill, watch one blazer make it to the top,
then almost roll, backed down Then a CJ, went up, got sideways, lifted the
front tire, then went forward acouple inches, the front tire lowered, the
rear tire lifted. His buddies went and stood on the front bumper. I was at
the top, I asked if he wanted me to winch him up, or straighten him up. He
said no. Oh, did I mention he was drinking. He went alittle further up,
with his other drunk buddy telling him to turn even more sideways. I almost
got to see a jeep roll. He asked for the winch. My winch did a good job,
pulled him right up.
Lots of roll overs, great weather up to Weds.

'76 Scout
Found a '73 travelette in Silver City N.M., was a trade in on a new truck,
the dealer never picked it up, two months latter, the "owner" said I could
have it, Called today the dealer wants $1000 for it, good luck.
