Re: 5 Speed--bad news?
Allen,
I checked on the 238613R3 gear, it is available, cost is around $75. Let
me know if you can't locate one.
Also, check the shift forks for wear. the tips on the forks can wear
excessively, causing the sliding clutch to engage only partially with the
teeth on the mainshaft gear. This leads top excessive wear, and premature
failure on both the mainshaft gear, and the sliding clutch.
