Sounds like it's time to get out the big metal cutting band saw!  Cut off
the Jeep bellhousing and weld on an IH bellhousing.

Sounds like another fun project for the Fleckster.

ANSWER:
Well John yes it is a simple weld to do but getting the shaft to line up is
the key. 

I just read in a mopar magazine where they are puttung the 513 overdrive in
the old musclecars but are having to modify the crossmember so it doesnt
cause driveline angle probs. It worked real slick and he had a overdrive
musclecar. I do not see any reason why a person with the right amount of
$$$ could not do this swap.

However a aftermarket overdrive unit would be a little easier.
