Is there evidence of a former stereo or CB or aux lights in your truck?
When this fuse burns out, just the lights go out?  And the door switches do
*not* work anymore?

People tend to grab that handy "always live" wire for the most inappropriate
uses.

'Cause I don't have a Scout wiring diagram, but the door switches are
supposed to be wired together with the door grounding pin.  Since the door
switches pull to ground, even if you wired your grandma's washing machine
into the light switch there would be no greater possible draw than that
condition.  If the light switch was crossed to a hot wire then there would
be no current drain at all.

So this is pretty curious.
