It lies.  The caption is wrong.. I read the article last night... John
McLaughlin has a Jeep on the next page... and it even goes on to show
the point where John McLaughlin (with a pic of a CJ) breaks his front
axle U-joint.

It also shows the same Scout (notice the diamond plate end caps) on the
next page, with Brett McCullen's name under it.

FourWheeler make an "oopsie"... I sure thought that Scout on the first
page of the article looked familiar... ;-)
