  Considering all the work you have scheduled, you should probably wait a
while longer and get a real drill press.    An 8" Craftsman dp just won't
do it for you !

  For close fitting "fish-mouths" you'll likely need one of those jig
thingies made for the purpose and I'm pretty sure you'd need a bigger press
to use the jig.
