I was just speaking with Gary & Justin at Giddem Up Scouts on Friday about
this.  I was looking at an ad on their bulletin board (physical kind) for a
Dana 60 rear axle from a '75 travelall that I could swap in place of my Dana
44.  And they reminded me that the rear axles got wider in '74 for better
tracking - possibly so that the rear tires wouldn't follow in exactly the
same path as the front.
