Scout II weight?

I had a little discussion with a friend of mine talking about why Scouts
aren't more popular than they are for off-roading. I explained to him
that they are bulletproof, last forever (well, you know) and are very
nimble. He said it's prolly cuz they weigh so much.

Now wait a minute....according to my insurance card, my Scout weighs
2600#'s and about 2850 with me in it :O) To me that's not a whole lot of
weight!

Is 2600#'s accurate?
