Doug,
Now that's interesting, because when I taught mathematics and logic,
Boolean was always capitalized. Having also taught language at one
time, I insist that it must be capitalized. (grin)

John,
Unfortunately for John Boole's heirs copyright/trademark laws didn't
exist in his days as they do today. So the term "Boolean" has come
into
general usage as "boolean". You are certainly correct that out of
respect
for Mr. Boole, it should be capitalized.
Incidently, when I worked in numerical analysis at Boeing this topic
came
up and we decided for consistency everyone would use the lower case
"b".
Just my bit of trivia on this Monday morning.
