Way to go, Proud Dad Willy,
Personally, I would think that front and rear bumpers would be ideal
projects.  The rear bumper could include an integral hitch for more
practice in layout and fabrication. 
I'd probably have amounted to something if my Daddy had bought me
Carhart coveralls.
