Make sure you get the starter shim.  Without the shim, there is no
clearance between the bendix gear and the ring gear on the flexplate.  That
grinding noise will be your ring gear making its own clearance.

As mentioned earlier, you will need the kickdown linkage.  Will also need
to make an adapter to connect the linkage to your carb.  If you have access
to another IHC with the 727, eyeball the necessary attachments to the carb.
 I had to fabricate mine.
