Actually, if you have access to and know your way around a mill, you can
fairly easily machine an offset key for the crank gear.  Just get an
oversize key the same length (keystock you can cut down, but the next size
bigger) and mill it to the proper height.  Then cut the sides to whatever
offset you want.

You can buy these for some engines, but I'm sure that none are available for
the IHC.

Would make an interesting afternoon project.
