Brent,

Any lifting been done on this Scout.  Sometimes this can be a factor.

Jack up the front end and turn full left and right and look at the 
position of the wheels, tie-rods, drag-link.  Any thing running into 
anything else.  If not about all that is left is inside the steering box 
and the joints at the ends of the tie-rod, drag-link.

Does the pitman arm attached to shaft on the steering box move about as 
far each way?
