Ken,
Personally I'd have to see the wiring schematics to see if this is
possible, but it doesn't sound right. In the Scout II, the fusible link
protects the wiring harness from a short *prior* to the fuse block.
Current is always present at the fusible link when the battery is
connected, whether the starter is operated or not. If the fusible link
keeps burning, something is definitely wrong!
