Vacuum Solenoid

After giving Michael my gratuitous advice, I felt obliged to catch up
on some overdue maintenance. Located just under the hood catch on my 79
Scout II (345 auto) is a 3 pronged device that has 2 vacuum lines and
an electrical connector plugged in. I believe it to be called the (a)
vacuum solenoid ? I went to both NAPA and Chief Auto Parts and neither
had a listing for it. I have 3 questions:

1) Is the unused vacuum port supposed to be blocked off (capped). It
never has been while in my possesion but who knows ?

2) How much vacuum is it meant to pull (currently very little) ?

3) Assuming that it's bad ( no not your Bad, Dan) anyone have a
source/part numbers for replacement ?
