It makes sense to me, Dan.
You had some drag on only ONE side of the front end. Theoretically, that
drag should be "negligible".. but maybe something isn't "quite right"..
old gear lube/no lube, dirt or a bent axle shaft.. bad hubs..
How bad was the pull?
I *think* I notice some drag with only one front hub locked.. but with my
locker, the driveshaft is also being run with one hub locked as well as
the *other* axle shaft.. I don't know if I imagine the drag or not, but I
seem to feel it..
Turn the hubs out and see if it does it.. if it tracks straight, blame it
on the hubs.. lock one hub and see if pulls again.. then switch sides
just for kicks..
If there's a drag when you do either side, call it normal. If one side
pulls or makes it worse than the other, start looking for something
not-quite-right...
