Joel,
Have I been outside in the cold too long, or is this NOT really the
solution to NO HEAT?
I thought... with a cold motor, the thermostat never opens, so NO
coolant flows THROUGH the radiator.. the only reason your fan is cooling
your truck is from the simple air flow over the motor from the fan...
not because of the fan + radiator. I figured this wouldn't be an issue
at 20 degrees.. now, my friend's little Nissan something-or-other, at
-20, never once warmed up across town.. electric fan n' all.. it was
just the cold airflow over the motor. But at 20 degrees, that shouldn't
be a problem for you.
Brrrr.. 20 degrees.. how can you stand to be that cold, Joel? ;-)
-Tom (-1 here! Feels like summer)
