Alternator Fluctuation

Sorry, Guys-

I have heard so many people mention this that I assumed it was a common
phenomena and didn't register it in my memory.  I had the "alternator
guage bounce-around and lights dimming and brightening randomly"
phenomena going on, but it did it for a while with no change, so I let
it go.  Now my battery has stopped recharging and my meter reads a
constant draw instead of a periodic draw and periodic charge.  Whoever
has dealt with this problem, please e-mail me with info.  My belts seem
a little loose, but not so much that I think that is necessarily the
culprit.  And they were new only six or eight months ago.  I'll check to
make sure it's stable on its bracket as well.
