Re: Landry's Trans cooler

John,
My stock 79 has a factory tranny cooler installed. It is installed in
the dead center of the grill supported by some flat steel attached to
the front clip. This seperates the cooler from the radiator by about
4-6". When I'm wheeling in low range the heat out of the tranny oil
running through, first the radiator then the cooler, really heats the
coolant up. I was overheating while Scoutin' the Pinelands, and again
while wheeling in Ohio. I intend to swap in my 4 core radiator and
remove the tranny coolant lines from it and run them just through the
cooler. I'll then put a puller fan behind it to compensate for the
seperation from the engine fan.
