Headlights

Last night on my way home from watching the Lions game, I had an
experiance. As I turned down my street, I had a police car turn down
right behind me from the opposite direction. I didn't think anything of
it untill I realized he was riding a little to close. I am 2 blocks off
of the road I just turned off of so I didn't think anything of it again.
Then 2 houses from my houses he hits his @#$ lights and pulls me over.
This is at 11:30 PM. I should have just driven up to my house and pulled
in the driveway, but; I didn't. He walked up to the car and did the
usual licence, registration, insurance crap, then says, "You know you
have a head light out, right?" I didn't know that so I told him so, I
also mentioned that I live two houses up on the left and could push the
truck there if I had to. (Well, I left out the sarcasm) He walked up to
the front of the truck and told me it was the drivers side. He then
asked me if I had an exhaust system on my truck, (Actually his exact
words were "this thing") I said yes. He said he couldn't see the
tailpipe. I then told him I crushed it 4 wheeling and cut it off right
inside the rear bumper. He said, "Oh. take it easy" and left. So, I had
to stop on the way home today and get a new headlight. I would have done
it anyway, once I knew it was out, but this gave me added incentive. I
also called JC Witney and ordered new resonator tips to replace what I
crush in Springfield. I may use the one crushed tip as a trophy for the
Scout the Pinebarons in May. Perhaps, Most destruction done on one truck
in one weekend. (Commonly refered to as the Tom Mandera Award (Hey Tom,
can you save that T/Case casing for me? We can use it next year for
Scout the Pinelands 2000. (That sounds like a bad movie remake)))
