Careful the Scout habit is getting serious at this stage. I worked on
mine from 2pm Wed to 6pm Thurs before the Nationals to get it ready,
then came back the next day till midnight before giving up and driving
the Honda out :( Then again I work for me. No wonder it seemed like I
had been gone 2 weeks the monday after Nationals.

I've heard that primer finishes in the weather (exterior) can lead to
bad final paint jobs due to primer absorbing water. Does someone with
more paint knowledge have an opinion as to whether this is an actual
problem or an excuse for bad results? And could this trap moisture on
the floor? Doesn't seem like it would be much though.

Yea, do a top notch repair or upgrade them in mid process figure out how
to overdo it just a little more:) A Manderism in the making? This
process sounds way too familiar- start off fixing old brakes and a bad
line then why is it that the brake pedal is about the only thing I
didn't replace? Wonder how that pedal is mounted anyhow....

Hardware install is even better with new carpet and no old holes to
guide you to almost where the hole in the metal is. Just like aircraft
interiors. I use a very sharp, thin awl to search for the sheetmetal
hole and align whatever needs mounted. (That sentence took way too long
to write and I'm still not sure it can evade the Freudian contingency
out there)
