Interior Renovation problems/nightmares
I just thought I'd waste some band width and whine about the problems
I'm having.
by no means am I a mechanic, but I thought that the Interior would be
the EASY part of my Scout II! Turns out every bolt was rusted in, and
there are drill hole everywhere! as well as surface rust. I managed to
get everything out except the driver seat which is welded to the floor.
And I power sanded the floor with my fire extinguisher at my side I only
got the passenger side sanded, primed, bonded, and resanded, and primed
again.
I still have to do the drive side and rear! It seems at this rate I'll
be done by spring...
QUESTION: in the opinions of the public, should I break my seat loose
of the welds and bolt it down to the floor over the rug or cut my new
rug kit to fit around the seat.
Ed Kraus 1974 Scout II, every little job I try turns into a 3 week
project, o how I wish for a garage or even a driveway!
I'm really sick of wondering which passing car is going to crush my legs
that are sticking out into the street because my hand is stuck inside
the under body in a rust trap trying to reach a bolt I dropped. That's
not a run on sentence is it?
go ahead laugh, next time it may be you!
