Aluminum tanks...

        While doing an exhaust system in Mom's J@@p this weekend, I noticed 
     that the tank in there is suspended in a blanket of 1/8" thick 
     polyethylene sheeting.  It acts as a skid plate and as a sound 
     deadener.  You could simply place the tank (aluminum) in a thick 
     plastic cover, then mount it to the frame.  You could also make some 
     rubber floating mounts, like the insides of ruggedized chassis's to 
     suspend your tank.  It IS possible, and it's easy to make not 
     galvanic.
