Solenoid spring

That's interesting, Allan, and very good information. We often say that
if some modification or the other were a good idea that the manufacturer
would have included it. Isn't it interesting that Delco didn't change the
spring? A number of guys that I know have used the Ford solenoid in the
way you did. Some use two Ford solenoids, one essentially to take the
load off the key circuit, and the other to supply big current to the
starter. I have one Ford and it runs the starter.
