First, Drop the pan and do a rear band adjustmant. When you get the
pan and filter out you will see a large jam nut with a smaller screw in
the middle. loosen the jam nut and turn the screw in until it gets
tight. Then back the screw out about 1/4 turn, I think. Then tighten Jam
nut up. Then change the fluid and put a new filter in. After doing that
take a can of 2+2 carb cleaner and empty it down the fill pipe of the
tranny. This will help soften the seals. Lastly, if this doesn't help
entirely, try adjusting the kickdown rod.
