By laying in over a little, they were able to reduce the overall height
so it was done by intent and not just to make a wacky part. I don't know
the angle for sure--it may be 10 degrees, but that's in the ballpark.
When they put the V-266 in the Scout 800, they had to raise the body
about 2" to get adequate clearance for everything, but the 4 cyl body
stayed lower until the intro of the Scout II.
Do you really think the crazy look has anything to do with what you're
saying? :-)
