Re: carbs

An example of Brent Snyder <brent_snyder@domain.elided>'s troubled thought
patterns:

>It has a 345. I was wondering

>a K&N catalog today and it just had filters for a 345 with the 4barrel

According to my IH parts manual, the original *filter* should be the same
between all years and all configurations of domestic V8's (with a few
exceptions). So, reason tells me that if you do in fact have a stock Holley
2210C carb on your engine, the K&N filter should fit *if* it supposedly fits
the air cleaner for the 4-barrel carb.

Hard to say what you have on there without seeing it. You might want to
examine the carb closely and see if you can find any markings or numbers you
can post to the list. But the key is whether or not you have the original air
cleaner. If you do, then the K&N filter designed for the IH should fit just
fine... no matter what the carb is. The Fram filter number to fit a stock air
cleaner is CA-133.

John
