Torsion bar "bouncing"
Jim covered all the most likely stuff, by far. One note: Read his shock recommendation carefully. These shocks are slightly different than most, and therefore harder to find, because they don't have any eyeholes, but have pins at each end. And I've bought two different types, both not stiff enough as far as I was concerned. The first was crosslisted with a Maverick rear (!) so what could you expect. The next was a Gabriel. So I'd try the NAPAs, fer sure.
I had a real bouncing problem due to tires, of all things. But it was usually one tire, and it didn't "keep bouncing," because it was so dangerous that you dropped speed as fast as possible! So I don't think that's your problem. It's a condition peculiar to bias ply tires, and after a few months of replacing things (that needed replaced anyway) it finally popped into my dad's head that he had a Hudson once that did the same thing.
Another thing to check on any recently acquired version of these trucks is where the upper A-arm attaches to the frame. In a seriously abused truck, you might actually find a split in the metal at the point of the rear bushing. A good welder can fix it easily, but getting the shaft out can be a nightmare. But once again, I don't think that would cause the bouncing.
