Mitch,
   I just had my '71 Scout II front drum opened yesterday and I don't
have one of those bars. I assume you are refering to the bar that goes
from shoe to shoe with a little spring on one side, right? I don't know
if a 800 should have one but if my II doesn't have one I guess yours
wouldn't either.
