Traveler Top on a Terra?
John Landry & other digesters:
(This is a resend after not seeing posted)
A question. (I just put this all together!)
Owen was asking $1,100 for both Travelers and said he'd throw in an
extra top. John bought one of the Travelers? (John - Did you get both
Travelers? Did you get that extra top Owen has?)
Owen mentioned getting rid of that top some time ago. And, I have a
Terra and have always thought that having a Traveler top for it would be
a great idea. I didn't know all the details about fit, etc. and I took a
trip to Anything Scout which is about 70 miles from me. But they weren't
much help. (They had them, but getting them to quote me a price or talk
to me at all was near impossible.) I let it rest for a while.
I couldn't think of an economical way to get Owen's extra top down here.
I was under the impression that Owen was in Spokane. That's a sixteen
hour one-way drive for me and I just figured I could buy a Traveler top
down here for less than the cost/hassle of getting one down from
Spokane.
Now, I'm thinking. Tulare is coming up. A bunch of NW binders are coming
down. Maybe it could still be a fair price to buy the top from Owen and
pay someone to bring it down for me. I live only about a half hour west
of I5 or CA99 at Tracy. And, anyone coming to Tulare from the northwest
is going to pass through that area, unless their flying or sailing.
Hmmmm???
Any thoughts? Details on Owen's top? Forget that, I'll get the detail on
the top from Owen (Owen, you still have that top? What kind of shape's
it in? Does it have the lift-gate? et. al. What's it worth to you? email
me off list?)
Does anyone know if a Traveler top is a basic bolt on to a Terra after
removal of the Terra's half-top, bulkhead and tailgate?
Anyone out there coming down for Tulare planning on bringing a trailer
that they might want some cash for fuel such that they could haul down a
Traveler top? Think a Traveler top will fit on the roof of a Travelall?
:)
